It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Hilgefort (Fort Loramie, Ohio), who passed away on May 7, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Hilda Hilgefort, Herbert Hilgefort, Norma Post, Hugo Post, Verona Boecker, Bernard Boecker, Mary Ann, Jerry Heitkamp, Caroline "Kelly", Wilbur Bruns, Robert Hilgefort and Rita Hilgefort; and also, Norbert Heitkamp, Dennis Homan, Alphonso Barhorst, Clifford Luedeke, Carl Pleiman and Elmer Rethman.

He is survived by: his spouse Phyllis A. Hilgefort (Pleiman); his children, Deb Francis, Mike Francis, Janet Hilgefort, Nick Hilgefort, Peg Hilgefort, Vicki Gasson, Chris Gasson, Elaine Drees, Tony Drees, Lisa Boerger, Nick Boerger, Sue Rose, Ron Rose, Dale Hilgefort and Kelly Hilgefort; his sisters, Rosemary Heitkamp of McCartyville and Louise Homan of Maria Stein; and also, Jeanette Barhorst of Fort Loramie, Betty Luedeke of Fort Loramie, Julia Pleiman of Fort Loramie, Marlene Rethman of Fort Loramie, Karen Gaier of Fort Loramie and Ralph Gaier of Fort Loramie.
