He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Howbert and Cecil Howbert (Wykel); and his siblings, Howard, Bryce, Glenn, Donna and Amy Jane.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Wieging; his children, Joyce Jackson (Mike) of Gahanna, Jan Schimmoeller (Larry) of Ft Jennings, Karen Lengerich (Leo) of Monroe, IN, Laura "Lol" Liebrecht (Mike) of Angola, IN, Michael Howbert (Donna) of Ft Jennings and Amy Cleemput (Jeff) of Kalida; and his brother Kermit Howbert (Deb). He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church.
