He is survived by: his spouse Jean; his children, Kathy Peters and Mark Lawson (Lisa); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Symes, Bobby Symes (Emily), Caleb Lawson (Charissa) and Alydia Lawson; his siblings, Alma Collins, Wilma Young, Nadean Skeans and Judy McCoy (Robert); his sister-in-law Ching Lawson; and his daughter-in-law Lisa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
