He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bailey and Susan Bailey (DeRossett); his daughter Susan Bailey; and his siblings, George, Catherine, Mae and Kae.

He is survived by: his wife Mary L. Hart; his sons, John Russell Bailey (Michelle), Ronald Bailey (Alicia) and Forest; his grandchildren, Jeremy Krider (Melissa), Josh Krider, Jonathan Mosman (Miranda), Jevon Bailey (Cassie) and Miranda Randolph (Mike); and his brothers, Joe Baily (Betty), Dean Bailey (Gail), Jarvee Bailey (Bonnie), Johnny Bailey (Shirley), Jim Bailey (Deb) and Tim Bailey (Vicki). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
