He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Koch and Charles Henry Thompson, Jr.; and his brothers, Charles Henry Thompson, III and Philip Hartley Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Myra Jean Deal Thompson; his sister-in-law Sally Owens Thompson Mobley (Russell) of Carmel, Indiana; his nieces, Wendy Thompson Crick (Michael) and Lori Thompson Waters (Steve); and his nephew Douglas Stuart Thompson of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee..
