He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Rankin and Vernonne E. Rankin (Wilson); his wife Donna C. Rankin; and his brother H. Allan Rankin. He is survived by: his children, Stephen C. Rankin (Amy) and Nancy Jones; his grandchildren, Abby Bowman (Eliot), Lauren Rankin (Noah Schabacker) and Nicholas Rankin (Jenna Vondrasek); and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Charlie, Jack, Luke, Wendy Bowman and Drew Rankin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Don's name to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
