He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel "Sam" and Edna Bayes (Collins); and his brothers, Sherman Bayes and Carl Bayes. He is survived by: his sister Thelma Ruth Lester of Kentucky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
