It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard O. Carpenter of Flushing, Ohio, born in Saint Clairsville, Ohio, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry O. Carpenter and Verna Taylor Carpenter; his siblings, Clyde Carpenter and Betty Simpson; and his sister-in-law Shirley Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Williams Carpenter; his children, Paul Carpenter (Cindy), Sue Kimmel (Butch), Karen Brown and Philip Carpenter (Lisa); his sisters, Edna Paugh (Floyd), Esther Kettlewell (Bill), Thelma Kettlewell (Harry), Martha Schell (Lee) and Judy Coleman (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Junior Simpson and Linda Carpenter. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the East Richland Evangelical Friends Church or Amedisys Hospice.
