He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Spano Sr. and Catherine Surufka Spano; his wife Delores Jean Leone Spano; his son Randall Spano; his grandson A. J. Chance; and his siblings, Joseph Jr., Richard, John, George Spano, Mary Bishop and Shirley Spano.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Spano (Lisa), Debra Chance (Joe), Pamela Longevitch (Henry), Nancy Stenger (Ed), Robin Buonamici (Don), Lisa Heedy (David), Jacqueline Matusek (Jack) and Hope Kurtz (Gary); and his siblings, Willard, Albert Spano and Catherine Kovacs. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
