He is survived by: his wife Lelah Payne (Kunkleman); his mother Natalie A. Plate (Mark Dickens) of Radnor, OH; his children, Rowdy, Joey and Benji; his siblings, Brandon Plate of Piqua, OH and Amber N. Payne-Miller of Delaware, OH; his grandfather Willard Rea of LaPorte, TX; and his sister-in-law Paige Apple (James) of Troy, OH. He is also survived by aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to the Payne Children's Education Fund in care of PNC Bank at 10 S. Dorset Rd., Troy, OH 45373.
