He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Henthorn and Elizabeth Strauss Henthorn; his wife Ferne Wagner; his brothers, Charles and David; and his stepmother Garnet Dye Henthorn.
He is survived by: his children, Richard John "Rick" Henthorn, Jr. (Angie) of Marietta, Randall Jay "Randy" Henthorn (Karen) of Fleming, Debra Parmiter (David Rudie) of Marietta and Rodney Henthorn (Karen) of Vincent; his grandchildren, Zayne, Taylor, Eli Parmiter (Kenzie), Austin Henthorn (Molly), Zach Henthorn (Kristen), Andrew, Hayley McGill (Adam), Braden Henthorn (Andrea), Marisa and Ethan Henthorn; and his siblings, Shirley Kirkbride, Gary Henthorn, Barbra Bohlen and Donald Henthorn (Beverly Erb).
