He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence E Atta and Ruth E Van Atta (Hardwick); his close friend Fred Wibbing; and his former wife Barb Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Sam Van Atta (Krissy), Kristina Essinger (Todd), Kelly Ashcraft (Matt) and Eddie Van Atta (Kelley); his grandchildren, Jaimie Kneer, Jessica Van Atta, Nikkie Groff, Cody Essinger, Carter Essinger, Cayne Essinger, Austin Van Atta, Bailey Ashcraft, Jacob Van Atta, Molly Van Atta and Clay Van Atta; his great grandchildren, Londyn, Russell and Wally; his sister Laurel; and his pet Princess.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Bill's wishes are to donate in his memory to City Mission of Findlay or St. Jude's. Both were beloved to Bill and he donated monthly.
