He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart W. Farthing and Nina B. Farthing (Smith); and his sister Annette. He is survived by: his wife Tamara; his sons, Tad Farthing (Jessica), Travis Farthing (Natalie), Trent Farthing (Allison), Troy Farthing (Emily) and Arlington; his grandchildren, Melissa, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Henry and Sawyer Farthing; his stepgrandchildren, Molli Friese (Nathan) and Eli Patterson; and his sister Sharon Haight (Paul). He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.

Donations in Wayne's memory may be made to College First Church of God or St. Jude.
