She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Maurer and Edith Maurer (Schroer); her husband Don K. Schmidt; and her brother Don Maurer. She is survived by: her children, Mark Schmidt (Anna) of Cincinnati, Chris Schmidt (Maggie) of Columbus and Faith Gingerich (Travis) of Bluffton; her grandchildren, Maeve, Liesel, Maribel Schmidt, Ethan, Caroline, Hannah, Levi Schmidt, Titus, Ian and Jace Gingerich; her brother Paul Maurer (Shirley); and her sister-in-law Sara Maurer.
