She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilmer Cooper and Harba Cooper (Brown); her husband John H. Smith; her grandson Daniel Newell; her son-in-law Marvin Siferd; her granddaughter-in-law Crystal Newell; and her siblings, Thomas, Donald Thelma, Marie and Mona.
She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Newell (Joe), Sharlene Hunter (Tom) and Teresa Patterson (Gary); her grandchildren, Kevin Newell, Lisa Newell, Jenny Wellington (Mark), Tony Siferd (Jenn), Stephanie Lynch (Bill) and Aaron Patterson; and her sister Mildred Dickinson (Paul). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice Care Center or Palliative Care, Findlay.
