He was predeceased by: his father Walter Wilkinson; his son David Paul Wilkinson; and his sister Dorothy German (Bob). He is survived by: his children, Linda Alonzo-Helmick (Donette) of Columbia, Larry Wilkinson (Karen) of Findlay and Lee Wilkinson (Susan) of Tiffin; and his sister Sarah Simon of Findlay. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
