Mary Margaret Kreinbrink Obituary
Mary M. Kreinbrink, age 102 years, of Findlay, OH, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2022, at The Heritage Legacy Memory Care, Findlay. She was born in a two room log house in Alvada, OH, on February 3, 1920, to Fred Nicholas and Cecelia Rose (Theis) Boes.
She attended St. Boniface Catholic School and New Riegel High School, both in New Riegel, OH. She was proud to be the Valedictorian of the Class of 1938! She married Henry B. Kreinbrink on February 17, 1942, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, OH. In their 54 years together, they raised 12 children, many animals and a variety of grains, on their farm in Findlay, OH. Mary enjoyed caring for farm animals, especially the chickens and pigs. She looked forward to friendly visits from people stopping to buy eggs and chickens; and told us that "Those everlasting chickens saved the farm more than once!". She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning and freezing foods, to feed her family and friends, and drives thru the countryside. She won many, many First Place ribbons, and Best of Show Rosettes at the Hancock County Fair, Findlay, and The Ohio State Fair, Columbus, for her cookies, cakes, pies, breads, egg noodles, quilts and more, over many decades! She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, and the 55 Plus Club thru St. Michael the Archangel Parish for many years; and a member of the Loyal Christian Benefit Association (LCBA) for 80 years.
Mary is survived by her children, Martha (Donald) Stout of Findlay; Carl Kreinbrink of Evanston, WY; James (Carolyn) Kreinbrink of Gahanna; Kenneth (Sandra Rhoads) Kreinbrink of Columbus; Paul Kreinbrink of Whitehouse; Clara Pargeon of Findlay; Joseph (Susan) Kreinbrink of Euclid; John (Mary) Kreinbrink of Ludington, MI; Barbara (Michael) Lemon of Bowling Green; Donald Kreinbrink of West Salem; Ann (Tony) Clymer of Columbus; 22 living grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Forrest R. Slater of Anchor Point, AK; and many other family members.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry B. Kreinbrink; daughter, Rita J. Slater; son-in-law, Billy Joe Pargeon; daughter-in-law, Sharon K. Kreinbrink; grandchildren, Stephen M. Stout and David M. Stout; and great grandchildren, August Joy Kreinbrink, Benjamin Samuel Kreinbrink, Rita May Kreinbrink and great grandson-in-law Larry Facemire.
She was also preceded in death by her wonderful brother, Edward J. Boes and his loving wife Marie T. (Neff) Boes. Their 7 children and families survive.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home 205 West Sandusky Street, Findlay, with a Rosary Prayer Service at 7:30pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Downtown Church, 617 West Main Cross Street, Findlay, OH 45840. Visitation at the Downtown Church will begin at 9:00 am. Burial in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery off of West Main Cross Street, will follow Mass.
