He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Tesnow and Mabel Tesnow; his wife Mary Elizabeth Tesnow (Kelley); and his brothers, Bob, Raymond, Glenn Tesnow and Cornelius.

He is survived by: his stepdaughter Susan; his stepgrandsons, Bill and Rob; his son Craig Tesnow (Alice) of Findlay; his sister Blanche Rader (Glenn) of Pandora; his stepchildren, Larry Wittenmyer and Nancy Barger of Colorado; his grandchildren, Bill Wittenmyer, Rob Wittenmyer and Kelly Svoboda (Tesnow); and his great grandchild Greyson Svoboda.
