He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Waldsmith and Lois Waldsmith; his wife Janet Lee Vanselow Waldsmith; his brother David; and his sister-in-law Patricia Fletcher Waldsmith.

He is survived by: his brothers, James Waldsmith (Marilyn) and Thomas Waldsmith (Judy); and his cousin Margaret Baird. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
