He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Hummell and Mary Hummell (Gordon); his spouse Clista Jean Hummell (Gross); his stepfather Edwin Milroy; and his siblings, Carl Hummell and Audrey Hummell.
He is survived by: his children, John W. "Trey" Hummell III, Kelly Schmehl (Dan) of Arlington and Stacey Misamore of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Kaleigh Pentz (Aaron), Demra Fletcher (James) and Kenna Schmehl; his great grandchildren, Addison, Rylee, Jamison, Ava, Liliane, Adley, Emery, Halle, Saylor and Stella; and his sister Mary Prine of Tulsa, OK..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home (205 W Sandusky St, Findlay, OH 45840). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be directed towards the Hancock County Humane Society.
