He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harvey Russell and Luella Agnes Russell (Powell); his son Craig Steven Russell; his former wife Carolyn Sue Russell (Perkins); and his stepson Stephan Greer.
He is survived by: his wife Vernice Greer Russell (Compton); his sons, Scott Russell (Nikki Rettig Russell) and Chris Russell (Leigh Russell); his daughter-in-law Dianne Russell Phillips; and his brother Todd Russell (Paula Sue). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ada Full Gospel Church, 1047 State Route 235, Ada, OH 45810, or the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE), designated to missionaries Scott and Nikki Russell, reflecting Jim's lifelong dedication to helping others.
