He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Rule and Nellie Rule (Baker); his spouse Ruthanna (McNutt); his son Steven P. Rule; and his siblings, Guy Rule, Bernice McLree, Lavon Derr, Alice Kratt and Ruth Joliff.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jason W. Rule of St. Petersburg, FL and Beth-El Shepherd of Anderson, IN; his great grandchild Eva Mae Shepherd; and his daughter-in-law Diane Powell Rule of Findlay.
