She was predeceased by: her parents, John Powell and Betty Powell (Himes); her brother Kevin Powell; and her close friend James "Jumbo" Schlueter. She is survived by: her children, Theresa M. Kowalski (Jeremy Noel) of Arcadia and Timothy Kowalski (Seoul); and her grandchildren, John M. Kowalski of Bluffton and Jaston D. Kowalski of Bluffton.
