He is survived by: his children, Deacon Mark Kern (Carrie) of Ocoee, Michael Kern (Kristine) of Findlay, Amy Shepherd (Bill) of Marysville, Joseph Kern (Kristen) of Cumberland and John Kern (Stephanie) of Marysville, Ohio; his grandchildren, DeAnna, Joshua (Yaimarie), Andrew, Lacie, Ian (Savannah), Matthew, Kayla, Austin, Kelly, Amanda and Jonathon; his great grandchild Lando; and his brothers, Carl Kern of Tiffin and Luke Kern of Tiffin.
Memorial contributions may be gifted in Alvin's honor to the church or the Parkinson' Foundation.
