He was predeceased by: his brother Timothy Hale. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Kimberly Simms (Andy), Melissa Duarte (Frank) and Cheryl Smith (Paul); his grandchildren, Tish Roberts, Joshua Smith and Toby Smith; and his sisters, Susan Inmon and Barb Bailey (Dennis). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
