He was predeceased by: his father William T. Phillips; and his brother Randall Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Frankie Phillips; his children, Felicia Phillips, Tyler Phillips and Devin Brown; his grandchildren, Branson and Binzleigh Smiddy; and his siblings, Marilyn Williams (David), Kendall Phillips (Susie), Wendell Phillips, Mandell Phillips, Mendell Phillips (Julia) and Ronald Phillips (Nicole). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
