He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Kay" Binder; his children, Joe Binder Jr. of Amelia, Cathy Everson (Dave) of Anderson Township, John Binder (Sherri) of West Union, Mary Thackston (Mike) of Fayetteville, Andy Binder (Kelly) of Fayetteville, Tim Binder of Fayetteville and Matt Binder (Christa) of Fayetteville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Mary Binder, David Everson, Jen Binder, Casey Duffy (Kyle), Jessica Helton (Colt), Casi Poliak (Zach), Matthew Binder, Michael Thackston and Jack Binder; and his great grandchildren, Zara Carpenter, Michael Helton and Kaydee Helton.
