She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Waits and Ruby Waits (Barr); her husband Charles William "Bill" Hauke; her former husband L. Emerson Pettit; her siblings, Norma Jean Cox, Arthur E. "Sam" Waits (Patricia), Charles "Chuck" Waits (Frances), Ronald Waits and Terry Joe Waits; her stepbrother Harry W. "Bud" Waits; and her siblings-in-law, Richard H. "Junior" Leslie, Marvin Mason, Vernon "Vernie" Cox and Verna Hauke.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle "Shelley" Klosterman (Kenneth) of Williamsburg, Melissa "Missie" Gauche (Dale) of Fayetteville, Ohio, Robert Hauke (Rhonda) of Pleasant Plain and Brady Hauke (Shelley) of Cincinnati, Ohio; her grandchildren, Brad Meeker (Jennifer) of Williamsburg, Meeker (Amber) of Mt. Orab, Joshua Hauke of Nashville, Jamie Menard (Matt) of Bethel, Steven Hauke (Shelby) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Justin Hauke (Megan) of Cincinnati, Ohio; her stepgrandchildren, Taylor Schulze (Sam) of Martinsville, Curtis Gauche (Olivia) of Spencerville, Ande Scott of Cincinnati, Ohio and Turner Scott of Cincinnati, Ohio; her stepsister Cathie Stroop (Floyd) of Mt. Orab, Ohio; her siblings-in-law, Carol Waits of Mt. Orab, Peggy Mason of Georgetown, Sonja Leslie of Sardinia, Ohio and Bob Hauke of Hamersville, Ohio; and her stepchildren, Regina Arnett of Greene County, Ohio, Robyn Alsip (Dallas) of Greene County, Ohio, Richard Pettit of Greene County, Ohio, Marilyn Haney of Greene County, Ohio and Tim Pettit of Greene County, Ohio. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cahall Funeral Home (101 Liming Farm Rd, Mt Orab, OH 45154). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Confidence Cemetery.
