He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Russell Leininger and Ginger Leininger (Chyrowski); his wife Stephanie Schnarre; his daughters, Cassie and Kinsey Ray; his sisters, Lynne Eicher (Kevin) of Archbold and Brenda Hutchison (Jami) of Bryan; his parents-in-law, Sandra Schnarre (Weyandt) and Steve Schnarre (Elaine); his sister-in-law Shelly Moore (Ray); his nephews, David Eicher (Kristina), Michael Eicher (Jen), Dereck and Austin Hutchison; his niece Teresa Eicher (Michael Meffe); and his grandparents, Paul, Florence Leininger, Raymond, Nina Chyrowski, Harold, Fern Weyandt, Vernon and Elizabeth Schnarre. He was also cherished by other family members and friends.

Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services for Ray will be different.
