He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ballmer and Velma Ballmer (Schoonover); his wife Joan Marie Ely; and his siblings, Lois Masters and Verl Ballmer.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Ballmer (Jackie) of Archbold, OH, Tim Ballmer (Cheryl) of Fayette, David Ballmer (Casey Champion) of Edon, OH, James Ballmer (Sonya) of Wauseon and Michael Ballmer (Janna) of Fayette; his brother Ivan Ballmer of Bryan; his grandchildren, Josh, Melissa, Lacey, Brittany, Sarah, Nathaniel, Brynn, Leora, Haley and Isaac; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Daxton, Merritt, Dempsy, Sophie, Wesley, Hazel, Hannah, Lauren, Jacob and Mora.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fayette Church of the Nazarene (511 S Fayette St, Fayette, OH 43521). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 12:15 PM at the West Franklin Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Alva's honor can be given to the Fayette Church of the Nazarene or CHP Hospice.
