He was predeceased by: his mother Geneva Smith Peters; and his brothers, Bill Smith, Elmer Peters and Lawrence "Butch" Peters. He is survived by: his wife Alice Morris Peters; his children, Durrant Peters, Jack Peters II and Jeremy Peters (Amber Tolle); his grandchildren, Trevor Hudson, Kylie Peters, Sierra Peters, Cassie Atherton, Brittany Peters, Shania Peters, Brendon Peters and Avrielle Peters; his siblings, Louis Cruise (Clarence), Barb Rhoades, Joan Bills, Shelia McGath (Mike), Judy Porter, David Smith, Benny Smith, Roger Smith and Johnnie Peters (Karen); and his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Ann Self, Carolyn Taylor (Terry) and Cathy Armstrong (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
