She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Wood and Daisy Wood (Kennedy); and her daughter Beth Propst (Jack). She is survived by: her husband John "Jack" Shaffer August; her sons, Craig Wheeler (Kimmy) of Cortland, Jeff Ziegler (Audrey) of Tampa and Barry Ziegler of Johnston; her son-in-law Buck Propst of Kinsman; her stepchildren, John Shaffer of North Carolina and Diane Shaffer Saint (Jayant); her grandchildren, Jordan, Allyssa, Brianna, Kaitlyn, Mason and Maxwell; and her great grandchildren, Avery, Harper and Beau.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Johnston Cemetery (6178 Porter Dr, Farmdale, OH 44417).
