It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James J. Sweeney (Fairview Park, Ohio), who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his son Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Gloria (Burgett); and his children, James (Mitzi), Anthony (Carrie), Daniel, Eileen McDonnell (John) and Anne Sweeney (Joseph Sulzer).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
