He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Mae and Anna Mae; and his brother David. He is survived by: his brother John "Bob" (Katherine); his nephews, Robert (Diane), Jeffrey (Susan), Timothy (Susan) and Christopher (Mona); and his niece Cindy Swann (Bill).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Angela Merici Church or the Rev. John Cregan Chapel at Ennis Court.
