He was predeceased by: his brother Donald Friedel (Marge); and his parents, Anton Fridolin and Amalie. He is survived by: his wife Alice M.; his sons, Alan Friedel, Ken Friedel (Barb) and Gary Friedel; his grandchildren, Kevin Friedel (Elizabeth), Jeff Friedel (Siobhan), Kelly Balaban (Marc), Renee Friedel and Michelle Moore (Jacob); his great grandchildren, Scarlet, Jack, Henry, Luna, Ewan, Hunter and Grant; and his brother William "Bill" Friedel (Marilyn).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be forwarded to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
