He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Karako and Julia Karako; and his daughter Kathy (Karako) Kapostasy (Gary). He is survived by: his wife June Karako (Urban); his children, Linda Mackov (Steve), Scott Karako (Gina) and Todd Karako (Nan); and his grandchildren, John Kapostasy, Ben Kapostasy, Katy Kapostasy, Rachel Mackov, Max Karako, Mikel Karako, Elizabeth Karako and Savannah Green (Karako).
