He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Aberth and Laura Aberth (Eggers); his wife Mary Kay; his siblings, Tom (Eloise) and Mary Sterba (Jerry); his brother-in-law Stan Peterson; and his daughter-in-law Kim.
He is survived by: his children, Laura, David and Melissa; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Kate (Ryan), Sarah, Mia and Max; his sisters, Martha Aberth of New Franklin, Ruth Peterson and Lois Sampson (Jack); and his sisters-in-law, Janis Wendelken (Jon) of Akron and Judith Cooper (Lloyd). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
