He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kalapodis and Efthalia Kalapodis (Koustopoulou); his son John G. Kalapodis; and his siblings, Bill, Ernest, Frank and Demitrula Rowley.
He is survived by: his wife Frances L. Kalapodis; his daughter Georgene E. Kalapodis; his stepchildren, Larry, Denise Ferrell and Susan; his sister Katherine Morrison; his siblings-in-law, WanDora Thomas Smith of California and Gary of Indiana; his nephew Bill Kalapodis, Jr.; his grandchildren, Patrick Amato, Jonathan Ferrell and Ashley E. Amato; his great grandchildren, Cameron Ferrell and Conner Reece Thompson; and also, Lawson and Thomas of Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church Centennial Building Fund. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron).
