He was predeceased by: his parents, Renaldo Colonna and Clara Colonna (Colaizzi); his siblings, Albino Colonna, Angela (Bartoe), Dolores (Ross) and Renald Colonna; and his granddaughter Rose Baker.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Sarazen); his children, Gail Colonna, Christine Baker (Joe), Gerald Colonna Jr. (Romelia) and Gloria Sprague (Jim); his grandchildren, Kyle Dorsey, Russell, Liz, Allie Baker, David and Amy Sprague; and his great grandchild Cameron Baker.
