He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Triest (Jeffers); his children, Rebecca Denning (Joseph), William Triest III (Carley) and Meaghan Schoensiegel; his siblings, Robert Triest (Katie), Pam Trist-Hallahan (Bill) and Mark Triest (Sherry); his brother-in-law Wayne Jeffers; and his cousin Sandy Folsom. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
