She was predeceased by: her husband William Sasser, Sr.; and her sisters, Helen Sheppard, Juanita Wagers, Pauline Jones, Mary Magdalene Chappell and Martha Chappell.

She is survived by: her brothers, Wilson Chappell and Bill Chappell; her children, Mary Denise Sasser (Earl), Regina Hollon and William Sasser Jr.; her brothers, Herman Chappell, Christopher Chappell and Carlos Boyd "C. B."; and her grandchildren, Heather Dyer (Randy), Justin Hollon, Cheyanne Hollon, Tabitha Mize and William Barnett.
