He is survived by: his wife Fran Murphy; his children, Colleen Reliford (Josh) of Lancaster, Johnnie Murphy (Darlene) of Heath and Jamie Hurst (Bill) of Crooksville, Ohio; his stepson Joe (Brenda); his brother Jim Murphy of Sugar Grove, Ohio; his daughter-in-law Angelina Murphy; and also Wes Epling. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
