He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Burger and Mary Burger (Kern); his former wife Pamela Burger (McLain); his siblings, Charles (Virginia), Richard (Edith), Thomas (Bertie), John (Dorothy), William, Virginia Stickney (Ladd), Ruth Livingood (Clifford) and Shirley Burton (Robert); and his grandson Anthony Burger.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Debra Colyer (Steve), Robert J. Burger, Donald Burger (Catherine), Jana Dorst (Bryan), Frank Burger (Jennifer Ruby-Burger), Leah Combs (Brandon) and Erica Christy (Melissa); his grandchildren, Lisa Pickard (Aaron), Drew Colyer, Matthew Burger (Destini), Vanessa Simonton (Timothy), Marlene Porter (Andy), Christian, Emily Burger, Corinne, Alec Dorst, Zoey, Nathan Burger, Ava, Sophia, Griffin, Olivia Combs and Jeremiah Wilson; his great grandchildren, Liam, Piper Pickard, Mya Ramirez, Tristan and Brayton Porter; his sister Dorothy Smith (late Jak); his close friends, Willard Nachtman, Paul Fontaine and Chester Fields (The); and his siblings-in-law, Virgil Brewer (Tamera Burian), Everett Brewer (Bonnie), Richard Brewer (Helen), Betty McLain Himes (Stewart), Ann McLain McKee, Ruth McLain Leazer and Marilyn Brewer Bennett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Bob and friends provided weekly worship services at the TriCounty Nursing Home for many years until Covid occurred.
