She was predeceased by: her father Floyd Rimer; her father-in-law Robert Spindler; her brother-in-law Richard Spindler; and her nephews, David, Daniel and Timothy Rizzo.
She is survived by: her mother Ethel Rimer (Hubbard); her husband Thomas John Spindler; her son Thomas Richard Spindler (Teri); her granddaughters, Sarah and Carolyn Spindler; her daughter Susan Taylor (Steven Taylor); her grandchildren, Benjamin, Aaron and Katherine Taylor; her sister Cathy Rizzo (Joseph Rizzo); her niece Emily Rizzo-Connor (Drew Connor); her nephew Theodore Michael Rizzo-Connor; and her mother-in-law Anne Spindler (Smith). She is also survived by many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society.
