He was predeceased by: his parents, George T. Staarmann and Agnes Staarmann (Jung); his wife Jeanette L. Kollstedt; and his siblings, George, Vince Staarmann, Mary Lou Roberts and Patricia Betz.

He is survived by: his children, Timothy Staarmann (Michelle), Mindy Jurgens (Matt), Patrick Staarmann (Michelle) and John Staarmann (Meranda); his grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Alex, Connor, Grant, Brandon Staarmann, Nick and Will Jurgens; his great grandchild Abbie; and his sisters-in-law, Maureen Kollstedt, Betty and Mary Jo Staarmann.
