She was predeceased by: her parents, Ulysses Lay and Pernia Lay; and her siblings, Geneva Clevenger, Bert Karas, Pearl Hatmaker, Rosalie Lay and James Lee Lay.
She is survived by: her husband Alvin Gene Rhodus; her brother Austin Lay (Chris); her children, Sheri Hardesty (Mike) and Doug Rhodus; her grandchildren, Michelle Hardesty, Regan Thomas (Joe), Stephanie Hardesty, Rachel Hardesty, Taylor Rhodus, Logan Noppenberger, Bai Rhodus and Doug Rhodus, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Tori Jones, Riley Jones, Axel Williamson and Arden Thomas.
