He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Pennington and Della Pennington (Smith); his daughter Judy Koehler; his wives, Barb Pennington and Mildred Pennington; and his siblings, Eldon "Cotton" Pennington, Nola Baker, Reba Evans and William Pennington.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Dorothy Pennington; his children, Jean Hornsby (Brian) and Steve Pennington (Lori); his siblings, Marie Lowe and Robert Wayne Pennington (Carolyn); his son-in-law Mark Koehler; and his friend Phyllis Moore. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
