He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Runnels Sr. and Betty Runnels (Harbaugh); and his wife Karen Runnels. He is survived by: his children, Jill Runnels (Eric), Jeff Runnels (Catina) and Chris Runnels (Rebecca); and his grandchildren, Jacob Green (Beth), Lucas Green (Becci), Emily Otte (Marcus), Zachary Runnels (Chelsie) and Amanda Runnels. He is also survived by his friends and relatives.
