He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Ervin and Hazel Ervin; his wife Dorothy Ervin (Perpingon); his children, Linda Clemmons (Ervin) and Charles M. Ervin; and his brothers, Samuel Ervin and Thomas Ervin.
He is survived by: his daughter Marilyn Collins of Hamilton; his brother John Ervin (Glenn); his grandchildren, Chris Clemmons (Tamara), Lindsay Hauser (Joe), Natalie Collins-Harmon (Brian), Savannah Ervin and Alex Ervin; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Beckett, Spencer, Aubrey, Matthew, Cora, Declan, Nathan and Braxton. He is also survived by other loving friends and family members.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fairfield Community Foundation Scholarship Fund in Charles D. Ervin's name.
