He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Aker and Thelma Borton (Middleton); his wife Jacqueline Aker (Slaven); his brother James Aker; and his daughter-in-law Sheryl Aker.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Johnson (Bruce), Sam Aker, Greg Aker and Debbie Wright (Doug); and his grandsons, Matthew (Tricia), Scott (Libby), Billy (Stephanie) and Danny. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
